Sexual attraction soon sets in and Effie is by no means your average bigamist: she finds affirmation not to mention duplicity in decidedly unusual people and places. Though the humorless may occasionally find Effie's hijinks--and tai chi-induced highs--irritating, Trott has created a zesty and sporting protagonist.

So much so, I didn't really remember the bigamist plot. Susan Trott.
Jane Croy has just decided to run away from Alan, her husband of one month, because, as she says, he has misrepresented himself. I started this one and really thought I was going to just put it right back down again.
Plus Trott keeps tossing me interesting bits of plot just when I think I know what's going on. A summer fling is one thing. Jul 13, Sherie rated it it was amazing. It's good to be reading Sussan Trott again.
What Is Bigamy And Why Do People Do It
I have missed her quirky humor and her uncomfortable moments that make me relate to life. This book is really about bigamy and a woman who doesn't really mean to be deceitful, but sort of ricochets from one man to another. It got five stars from me because Trott is anything but a formula writer so one never knows where she is being led until the last page.
